Integrator or InOffice - Which product is right for you?

SWING Software provides products that enable business organizations to leverage their existing investment in Lotus Notes/Domino and Microsoft Office. There are two integration products:

• SWING InOffice
  - MS Office integration add-on for Lotus Notes

What do these products have in common?

Both products integrate Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office. They help users in creating MS Word documents and Excel worksheets, and saving them into Notes databases. They provide two-way field exchange, mail merge, labels, Excel reports and charts, and shared Office templates. Users benefit from flexible document authoring, printing and reporting using familiar MS Office tools. In addition, both products provide PDF conversion. SWING products can be localized into any language.

What is the advantage of separating these features into two products?

"One-size-fits-all" simply doesn't work in this case. Instead, we have optimized each product specifically to suite certain type of users and situations.

Are a Lotus administrator, or consultant, or business user. SWING InOffice requires absolutely no programming skills. User interface is based on a configurable wizard, which is exceptionally easy to use.	Are a Notes/Domino developer. You just need to plug our design elements into your application using Domino Designer (see how). For more experienced developers, the full API set is provided, as well as the source code as an option.
Do not have the Designer access to existing Notes databases. SWING InOffice does not install itself into your Notes databases. Instead, InOffice adds its icon in the Notes toolbar, so it can work in the context of any Notes database.	Want to build a self-contained application. There is no third party product installation needed. Once SWING Integrator has been plugged into your database, it seamlessly integrates into it, becoming totally transparent to end-users. You can decide whether you want to keep MS Office templates together with the main database, or in a separate database.
Need to use familiar MS Office tools with existing Notes data - immediately. It is much faster to configure templates in InOffice than to change and test a Notes application. As a result, business professionals become more productive, and rely less on overworked IT staff. Users can benefit from advanced Office printing, mass mailing, and ad-hoc reporting - with ANY application. For example, you can dynamically analyze and chart the sales data using Excel PivotTable, instead of waiting for developers to design yet-another-Notes-view.	Want to customize your application's 'look-and-feel'. SWING Integrator provides you with open design elements, so you can change the user interface in order to comply to your standards. In addition, it lets you decide what features will be exposed to end-users.
Want to save Office documents as attachments in any rich-text field in Notes. The InOffice wizard can be easily configured, so it allows end-users to save Office documents into specified Notes database.	Want to save Office documents as attachments in your database. SWING Integrator provides a special predefined subform which, once included in a Notes form, serves as a container for Office attachments. It also provides additional methods for editing these Office documents in-place.
Need to create Group Calendar reports Using the Group Calendar templates, InOffice collects shared calendar data from specified team members, and shows them in a single consolidated view in Excel.	Need to compose documents from reusable building blocks. SWING Integrator allows you to automatically assemble Word documents using conditional and optional sections. Use the Content Library to easily find and import relevant reusable content such as boilerplate sentences, paragraphs, and combinations of text and graphics.
Use Lotus Notes as a client for Domino server. SWING InOffice makes MS Word and Excel work as an integral part of Lotus Notes environment.	Develop either Lotus Notes or Domino Web applications.
