SWING InOffice is a tool that bridges the gap between
Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office. It improves office
productivity and reduces the burden on IT, by
integrating MS Office with Lotus Notes databases and
email.
What can you do with SWING InOffice?
Create Office
documents with Notes data
SWING InOffice lets users bind Office templates with
any Notes database. It allows users to easily populate
Office document templates with Notes data (e.g. creating
Purchase Orders in Word or Excel, using data from a
Notes database).
Using Microsoft Office rich formatting and printing
capabilities, Notes users are able to overcome the
limited printing and reporting functions in Lotus Notes,
leveraging their existing skills and investments.
Report, chart and analyze Notes data
Transform any Notes view into Excel reports and
charts. Create your report layouts once, store them in
the InOffice template repository, and use them many
times.
SWING InOffice eliminates the laborious process of
manually inputting data into spreadsheets and updating
it on a regular basis. All Excel formatting and
calculations are preserved when the report data is
updated.
Create compound reports, using data from multiple
Notes databases. Take advantage of advanced features in
Excel such as PivotTables, conditional styling, and
drilldown to analyze Notes data without having to
purchase specialized OLAP tools.
Mail merge and labels
Perform personalized mass mailings in the form of
emails, PDFs, faxes, and printed documents. Easily merge an
Office template with contact data from Notes Address
Books, or any other Notes contact management database.

Store Office documents and reports into Notes
databases
Save created Word documents or Excel spreadsheets
into Notes databases. Notes fields are automatically
updated with the Office document properties and fields.
Import documents and spreadsheets
InOffice can be used for importing Office documents
and spreadsheets into Lotus Notes databases. It
transforms data structures such as master/detail Excel
forms (e.g. Travel Expense Report) into Notes documents,
either as main/response documents, or multivalue fields.
For the end-user, it takes only a single click in the
InOffice wizard to perform such an import operation.
Create Group calendar
reports and charts
SWING InOffice 2.1 adds Group Calendar report
templates. Using these templates, InOffice collects
shared calendar data from specified team members, and
shows them in a single consolidated view in Excel. In
addition, InOffice enables further time and activity
analysis, taking advantage of Excel PivotTables,
reports, and charts.
